• Itinerary and budget
   
• Itinerary and hotel information left with someone at home in case of emergency
   
• Flight preparation
   
• Health and travel insurance
   
• Passport: check expiry date, make copies, and leave a copy at home
   
• Entry visas and departure tax
   
• Proper forms filled out (visa, tourist card)
   
• Documentation for children
   
• Immunizations up to date
   
• Vaccinations, medications, prescriptions, extra pair of glasses
   
• Copies of prescriptions and eyeglasses in case they are lost or stolen while travelling
   
• Know where the Canadian Embassy is in the country you are visiting, register with the Canadian Government Office
   
• Have the travel report for the destination country
   
• International drivers license if needed
